One of our favourite high waisted shorts is Free the Label's Florence Shorts Oatmeal. They are an elegant, simple, relaxed fit that comfortably sits on your waist with an inset elastic at the back of the waistband. It has a built-in, subtle belt that fastens with mother-of-pearl buttons.

Owned, run and led by women, Free The Label is a small business that operates with equality, honesty and integrity at the core. We lead from our hearts, have compassion for our suppliers, employees and the Earth and believe that quality products can only be produced in quality environments. We do things mindfully and with the best of intentions, approaching life with a “less is more” outlook and striving to constantly improve our impact on the planet.
 
We use sustainable fabrics, ensure ethical work practices and embrace the principles of slow fashion by focusing on creating quality products with a low cost per wear.
 
Where are your products made and by who? 
All of our products are beautifully hand-crafted from sustainable fabrics sourced from France and Belgium. We produce our collection on the Island of Bali  and carefully oversee our production facilities to ensure our supply chain supports fair labour and working conditions and above standard wages. As a small business, we intentionally partner with small women-run factories as a way to support the local economy. We strive for zero-waste production and place patterns as tightly as possible to minimize off-cuts which we then repurpose into small accessories like our masks and scrunchies.
 
What is your brand known for? 
Free The Label is known for high-quality linen clothing that is consciously designed and ethically handmade. We pride ourselves on creating beautiful, timeless not-so-basic-basics, crafted to be worn, loved and cherished in your wardrobe for years to come. Each piece in our collection builds upon the next and is designed for you to mix, match, and layer to create everyday looks that express your personal style.

Waist is half elasticated with a built-in belt to cover. Sits at natural waist. 

Approximate garment measurements are in cms. Please allow 1-2cm tolerance with measurements.

How to Measure

Waist - Measure the smallest part of your natural waist, the tape should naturally sit here, make sure it is not too tight and that the tape is straight.

Hips - With your feet together, measure around the widest point of your hips and bottom, ensuring the measuring tape is straight.

CARE - Our garments are designed to be worn and loved for years to come. To preserve the life of your garment, we recommend washing gently in cold water with a natural detergent and line dry in the shade. The buttons are delicate so take care doing them up.
